My NAS Stuff Arrived

What I received is in finds below. I got the Paige high waist skinnies in two sizes to try, but think I'll return both and keep looking. (1-5)
I really wanted the Chantelle bra and undies in grey, but my size sold out. I'm happy with the fit and comfort of the Betsy Johnson and the Hank Pankys are a good match. These both look more grey than lavender.
I got a medium in the plaid shirt and it seems a good fit. They run small. It is a replacement for a flannel Target shirt I got last year that is really too big, but similar colors. (2-3)
I bought a size 2 in the Ted Baker tee and it is generous. My store doesn't have them to try a smaller size but I like how fluid this is. I'm not sure that I'll keep it though. (4-6)
I love the EF skirt but hope to size up. The XXS fits and may stretch out a bit but I want to try the XS to compare. It looks much better than the online photo. (6-10).
my photos were taken quickly after I got home from working out and am a mess. Sorry about the bare feet.

#'s 9 and 10 are the best! I saw the plaid shirt and almost bought it but then thought about the three hanging in my closet and stopped. I like the fit on you. Good score.

I am having trouble with trying to add to my post, but I would like to know what you think of these pieces. The last photos of the EF skirt show it with some pieces I have and with a fabulous silk EF coat that member tulle sent to

  • tulle replied 8 years ago

Oh, Joy, the coat looks wonderful with the white underneath--just as I'd imagined it on you. Elegant as always.

  • Maneera replied 8 years ago

The EF skirt is gorgeous!!!! I love all the outfits you've created with it..so elegant.

  • kkards replied 8 years ago

love all the versions of the white on white outfit! fab plaid. i like the jeans, but if you don't love them…let them go

  • dakotacheryl replied 8 years ago

Joy you look wonderful in the new finds.

I have that EF skirt and sized it in a little looser fit, it hasn't stretched on me when wearing. HTH...

  • Joyce B replied 8 years ago

    The white outfits are fabulous!
I also love the Ted Baker top on you, it looks fab with the jeans as well.
Maybe the waist of the jeans is too high for you? The smaller size with the EF top looks good.
The TB top looks better on you than on the model!

  • replied 8 years ago

That pink floral top is magnificent on you.  The skirt is equally amazing.

  • Karie replied 8 years ago

That floral top is beautiful on you, as are the other pieces!

  • retailgirl replied 8 years ago

Love that floral top and pics 7-10. Looks like you did very well!

  • Joy replied 8 years ago

You are making me reconsider the TB top.  I need to look at the color with my skin in good light.  I ordered the next size up EF skirt to try.  I think the light color might be best in a bigger size.

Tulle, you are so generous and the coat is gorgeous; perfect with both EF "bone" and "stone" colors.  I can now do "bone out" a couple of ways.  The outfit looks much better when I'm cleaned up.

Cheryl, thank you for your experience with the skirt.  It came out of the box crease free, so will probably be good for travel.  If it relaxed a bit on wearing (or if I could lose some weight.), the size would be perfect so I hope that the XS will not be too big.

Numbers 8 and 10 are just gorgeous on you! I like the look with the coat in 9 but think the lines of the vest take the skirt and top someplace really special. I agree on letting the jeans go and love the colours of the Ted Baker tee on you. Nice choices!

  • crutcher replied 8 years ago

You made some excellent shopping choices...I love the EFskirt and coat..what a perfect ensemble...You are ready for fall with the plaid shirt...I agree with you, I would look some more for replacement jeans...
Isn't this like Christmas when the NAS boxes arrive?...I swear I could hear sleigh bells...smile...

  • Joy replied 8 years ago

Aliona, the vest plus the assymetric top really make the outfit.  I was lucky to find both these pieces at our Rack on clearance and copied an EF outfit photo.  The coat is amazing and adds some great texture.

Crutcher, it feels strange to spend so much at once and does seem like there should be snow and Christmas lights.  All this and Angie's picks haven't even come out yet.  That will help me decide how much to keep.

  • Windchime replied 8 years ago

Christmas in July! The red plaid shirt seems appropriate for the holiday and looks terrific on you! And I'm in awe of your stylings of the white skirt; hope the next size works perfectly for you.

Re the skirt--is it more of a spring/summer weight or fall/winter?

  • Thistle replied 8 years ago

    It's like a mini Christmas, isn't it?

I am glad you are being so precise with fit. I would definitely try the sizes you mentioned and compare. It can be too easy to get caught up in the excitement only to regret it later.

  • Lisa replied 8 years ago

The plaid shirt and the ivory pieces are my favorite of this group on you.  Nice picks!

  • Angie replied 8 years ago

LOVE THAT SKIRT. WOW. Killer combinations, Joy.

The Ted Baker top looks amazing too - a top pick.

I preferred this plaid shirt at the NAS. It has side entry pockets and drapes like a dream.

  • Peri replied 8 years ago

Joining the chorus! I love all the white outfits, every one of them. I was really hoping the top was current so I could buy it, oh well!

I love the TB on you! I decided against it for me, but I think you look fantastic in it!

  • Joy replied 8 years ago

    Thank you for your responses.

Windchime, the skirt is more of a spring/summer/fall weight but could be worn year round.  I have a very similar EF one in black and it never gets put away.  The drape on the white (bone) is fairly heavy.

Thistle, you are wise.  If the XS is too big, I will see if it can be altered.  I love this skirt.

Thank you, Lisa.  I agree with you.

  • rachylou replied 8 years ago

The outfits are fantastic. But please people, stop showing me red and blue plaid! Lol.

  • UmmLila (Lisa) replied 8 years ago

I got that TB tee also. It's a lovely color on you. I like the EF skirt in the size you have on.

  • Joy replied 8 years ago

Peri and Angie, I'm sorry not to have seen your replies before.  Peri, I think that there are tops very much like the one I have on available.  If not, check Ebay (atip taken from Transhannon).

Angie, I went to check on those plaid shirts you liked.  They are better and more TTS.  The one that is mostly cream and pale blue online is actually mostly burgundy with very little blue, unless it is a different one.

the third one that looks red and blue (sorry, Rachy) is more of an orange.  Anyway, I think I'll send for one but not sure which.

UmmLila, I still have the skirt I was wearing in the photo.  I tried the size up and the smaller one looks better.  Thank you for your vote of confidence.

  • replied 8 years ago

Joy, did I understand that you are re-thinking the pink floral top?  I think that is one of the most gorgeous pieces you showcased.  I almost considered buying it for myself.

Having said that, I of course defer to your personal wisdom and preference.

  • Joy replied 8 years ago

Sterling, yes I was seriously thinking of returning it, but it has gotten so many favorable comments that I may keep it.  I like it but it's a pricey tee for me.  Do I like it enough is the question.  For now I still have it.  I returned the Paige jeans and got grey Diana skinnies.  Waiting for Angie's picks and a couple of other things that I just ordered...the black and white vest in Angie's vest picks and a light grey dress with sleeves from her dress picks post.

  • replied 8 years ago

Despite how much I like it on you, I have great respect for budgets.

  • CocoLion replied 8 years ago

I'm another who likes the floral tee on you.  As well as the EF skirt.  Not sure about the other things.  After your and Firecracker's vote for the Betsey bra, I'm ordering it come Friday!

  • carter replied 8 years ago

Lovely items, Joy! I'm especially crazy about the TB top on you and the EF skirt. Have you thought about the EF sleeveless dress? I really think the blue would be stunning on you. The neckline is right for you, and I think the length is also perfect. It is so soft and comfortable. I bought the black one, and I just ordered the blue to see what the color looks like on me.

  • Elle replied 8 years ago

Another vote for the floral tee (but only if you'll have reason to wear it).  LOVE the all white outfits - very elegant on you.

  • Joy replied 8 years ago

Carter, I would be all over that blue EF dress if I didn't already have 2 dark blue EF dresses in my closet.  They are both favorites and get lots of wear.  The sleeveless one is a couple of years old and the lantern dress style.  I think Debbie has or had this one.  Last year for a reunion I bought a dark navy EF dress with cap sleeves and a high V neck.  You are right that the neckline and length are my style.  I have a red EF dress with a hem similar to the one you show that is fun to wear.  You look beautiful in your black dress and I think you will want to keep the blue one too.  (I also have a favorite EF black dress that my closet needs to function).

  • Carole replied 8 years ago

Nice choices, Joy. Love that skirt and floral top.

  • Debbie replied 8 years ago

Joy-I love the floral tee and the EF skirt. I think your wise to size up. I still have the 2 EF lantern dress and wore the blue one to work this week. I think you would get a lot of use out of that tee. It's a great wildcard piece.

  • Joy replied 8 years ago

Debbie, I'm glad that you still have those EF dresses. I still love wearing them. You have convinced me that I should keep the floral tee. I know that I can get lots of wear out of it and Angie is right that wearing patterns helps camoflague the midriff and I can use that.

  • Jaime replied 8 years ago

Great choices - love the skirt especially in #10!

  • Firecracker (Sharan) replied 8 years ago

Great choices, Joy. I really love that cream colored skirt on you. It's fantastic in all the ways you've shown it here; I think "bone-out" is hilarious--and a dynamite look on you.
The plaid shirt and floral top are great, too. The jeans look good to me, but if you don't love them, it's best to hold out for some that you do love.
