You helped me decide about a pair of EF pumps that I ended up returning. I come again for help. I found these at the Rack in my size this time. They are very very comfortable and good colors for my wardrobe, but are they too clunky for my body? I really like the thick sole and think they will be comfortable enough for lots of walking. I could see myself wearing these nearly all year as they have a stable non-slip bottom. I hope that the white on them will keep them from being too dark and heavy on me, but I want your honest opinion. These are not styled but shown with pants I had on shopping rolled up to shoe the shoes. What do you think?!

I like them. It looks like they fit your foot well. I think the open portion of the shoe make them a bit more streamlined than they might be otherwise. I would wear them.

I think they are cool looking, and they will look good with cropped pants or pants rolled as you've done for your quick try-on here. I like that they will basically serve as an ankle-strap style, but with a much sportier vibe. I'm not sure about year-round wear (my feet shiver at the thought!) but if they are good for walking and look this great, they seem like a good deal!

Thank you, delurked and Firecracker. They are sporty enough to serve as a slip on sneaker but with a little extra style. Firecracker, you are right about the ankle strap filling the gap with crops; and that they may not be warm enough opinion cold weather. I can wear no-show SmartWool Peds with them . Today's ah-ha moment came when walking in a parking lot on hot pavement. Thin soled shoes would have been torture. Another must for summer footwear...thick soles.

I hope you get them and keep them. Not only do they look comfortable they look very stylish at least to my eye. I don't think they look too bulky and all and I can see them many different outfits because they keep in mind with a certain aesthetic.

Very cool! Sporting. I think they'll look great.
Warning: this is not an unbiased opinion. I have chunky feet and skinny ankles, so "blocky with an ankle strap" is a winning footwear formula for me.
Are you thinking of wearing them with skirts or pants?

Joy replied 7 years ago
Thank you, Ledonna and appropriate, I am leaning toward keeping them if they get YLF approval and would probably wear them with pants, mostly crops. I have not tried them with a skirt yet. At 5'3", I have size 8 feet, so big feet fit my size.

Keep. The ankle strap adds a fun element to the casual sporty look. And they are practical

Not too clunky.
The ankle strap would drive me nuts, but if it doesn't bother you, sounds like they're super comfy and go with your wardrobe.

I was on the fence about these, but the more I look at them, the more I think keep. They do look a little overwhelming in pic 4, but I think that's just the angle, and it's not really the angle anyone will be seeing your shoes from. Shoe selfies are tricky.
I think they could be 3-season shoes for you, probably not 4.

I vote keep, Joy. Not too clunky to my eye, and they look fun to wear and comfortable.

Keep! They're fab and interesting . I'd style them like I would a fashion sneaker.

I'm with Jenn...at 1st I was kind of wishing washing....but when I came back to this post a second time (like to do that sometimes to give me more thought time)...I find them really interesting --in a good way. they're different, but sooo cool!

I just realized 3 and 4 are duplicate photos. The ankle straps are a soft stretchy fabric like my other EF ankle strap shoes. They just slip on and off; no buckles to mess with.

Love them, did you keep?

LOVE
Elegant fashion sneaker. Now I want a pair in white or pink. They fit your narrow ankles perfectly - and I get how tricky that can be.

Joy replied 7 years ago
Skylurker and Angie, I have kept them. I love the style and comfort too much to return and they are a great fit for my lifestyle. Angie, thank you for your thoughts. Yes, footwear can be a big problem with narrow ankles and calves, especially with size 8 feet!

Late to the party but I like them very much. Great addition for when you want a sneaker comfort but some style too.

I'm glad you are keeping these - they are very unusual and very stylish. I think you'll get a ton of use out of them. I think they might feel more clunky looking down at them on your feet than they do when looking at them on your whole self from our perspective!

Thank you for your help. With YLF approval, I will start styling and wearing these. The ankle strap should work well to fill the gap with crops.
