Ingunn's Challenge- Week 1

I wanted a challenge to beat the January blues and Ingunn provided a great style challenge calendar for inspiration. These outfits are my response for this week. I started on Tuesday with a pattern mix/graphic tee.
1-3: worn with plaid Jolt pants. ON plaid shirt over graphic tee left behind by DS. Also showing patterned socks. Worn outside I wore old Munro black ankle boots. I don't care for the shirt worn out but the pants were too high waisted for a good semi tuck. I liked the shirt tail hem of the panda tee but is this look odd on me?
4-7: Daytime sparkle. This was provided by F21 shirt with metallic silver dots, star earrings from a craft fair, and my DV distressed metallic booties. War and cosy on a frigid day.
8: Dress with sneakers. It was too cold for sneakers so I substituted oxfords. Dress is a thrifted BR merino wool worn over Nike workout pants as leggings. Does this work on me? I am open to suggestions.
9-10: No black. I hesitated to post this outfit due to poor posture but it was too dark to get new photos. This was a super layered soft neutral and pink outfit. KUT blush jeans, tee from DS under thrifted pink cashmere hoodie under thrifted Uniqlo open cardi. SE Putty Petty booties. I also wore a distressed silver belt and carried a silver bag. Kind of messy but casual. Suggestions are welcome.
Thank you, Ingunn, for this challenge. It was something I looked forward to this week.

I cannot see to link to Ingunn's challenge post or to her calendar. Can someone else put the link in a reply?

What a FAB week, Joy! I like the panda tee on you. Not odd. I think #8 dress with sneakers is my favorite, but so hard to choose.

Well done Joy! Every single one of these outfits works perfectly. I must say that those plaid pants are just fan on you and I bet they work with a lot in your closet.

Oh...and I dare you to say Putty Petty's 10 times in a row - lol!

I think it all works on you. The panda tee looks cute, and I like it all with the plaid shirt - great length on the shirt. I never would have known that the leggings in #8 were Nike workout wear - I have thought of doing that myself - why not, right, they look the same! It's hard to pic a favorite, but I'm going with the daytime sparkle outfit. That F21 sweater looks dressy and comfy, and you can't beat that!

UmmLila, thank you for providing the link and your kind words.
Harmonica, I liked the dress with "sneakers" too and would not have tried this if not for Ingunn's challenge.
LOL, Shannon, especially not before a first cup of coffee. I love those laid pants and would duplicate if I found them again.

Joy, these are all terrific. Wow, you look lovely in navy, just as much as in your light neutrals!

  • Sharon replied 9 years ago

I love all of these! #1 is so cool and youthful and #5 is very pretty and soft. What a great week.

  • Joy replied 9 years ago

Suz, most of my navy is summer weight. Sharon, you had my forever devotion with "youthful" :). These were all totally inspired by the challenge and using what I have in my present late-winter closet.

Great inspired outfits! I think daytime sparkle is my favorite but they all look good - not odd at all.

I hereby crown you Queen Graphic Tee. You are cuter than cute, Joy. I love #1 and #4. Those checked pants are DIVINE, and you know you had me with the white-out. xo

  • Ingunn replied 9 years ago

Like I said on my thread, Joy - the dress over pants is so fab! And the rest too, of course!

  • Joy replied 9 years ago

I am so happy that you think I can get away with wearing these graphic tees.
Ingunn, I have another dress over pants planned for this week. I think you have a white out on the calendar for this week or next, so I will come up with another version. Angie, I keep thinking of getting those Kut plaid jeans that you and Suz have, I enjoy wearing them so much. They are not a need but a want.

    Mad Panda is pretty awesome.

  • Joy replied 9 years ago

Rachylou, that weird panda is a mecha-panda. The back says Mechanical Panda. Maybe it is an anime character?
