Denim Joggers a la#2

When I saw Outfit #2 in Angie’s blog ensemble post, I knew I had the pieces.
Tee is an old cheapie from last fall when I was looking for olive. This one is shot with gold metallic threads. Sneakers are old AG’s, bum bag is Aimee Kestenberg from Nordstrom Rack. It is navy leather. Bracelet is new from a local consignment store. I think it looks like black rock but is probably wood. Black duster is a black EF heavy linen dress worn open. Other jewelry is gold.
Photos: 1 is bracelet; 2 and 5 show the whole outfit. 3 is the basic joggers and tee; 4 adds the bum bag.
What do you think? Too young looking? Shall I look for a better tee? Are these joggers too short? I welcome comments and suggestions.

I don't think it's too young looking at all. Does the tee make you happy/do you feel good when you wear it? That has been my barometer lately...  I love your new bracelet!

    I think it looks terrific.

Nice pose in #5. Adorable and fun!

  • kellygirl replied 1 year ago

Omg, terrific and are you kidding me, not too young at all. You are so stylish, Joy!

  • Joy replied 1 year ago

Nemosmom, the tee has only been worn twice. It is mostly polyester, a fabric that makes me feel hot, yet the short sleeves are not good when it is cold weather and the low neck is another problem. I do like the metallic as a twist on a typical tee. I like it best worn under an inside topper of some kind. I have had bad luck with olive tops. There are so many shades of olive yet this shirt is a mix. The olive part is bluish but the gold helps give it a warm look.
Thank you , Bonnie and Angie. I am glad this outfit has approval. Maybe I will wear it more often. It is perfect for fall. This is the first time this summer that I have worn these sneakers and I am wondering why.

Thank you, Kellygirl, as another birthday approach’s, I wonder if I need to be more careful with outfits.

  • kellygirl replied 1 year ago

Careful? Nah, throw caution to the wind. You have great style, Joy. I think you should dress how you like. I've never seen you look even remotely inappropriate. You set a high bar for "masters" fashionistas! That's what I'm calling myself now.

for me, the sunnies take this outfit to a whole other level...
    this is fab!

  • Cardiff girl replied 1 year ago

I like #1 best ,the way you wear the bag in that is very cool and coolness transcends age.

  • SarahD8 replied 1 year ago

Fun!! I love the shoes, they really polish up the look.

The tshirt looks good in pictures, but sounds like it's not the most practical for you. Would be well worth looking for a better iteration, I think.

Not too young at all!  The pants fit you perfectly ,and are really sleek and sophisticated looking. Nicely done :)

  • Suz replied 1 year ago

Joy, you are the best! I just love how you are able to whip up versions of the weekly outfit almost no matter what it is!

  • suntiger replied 1 year ago

Love the color of the top! The jeans seem more like regular skinnies than joggers, but all good!

  • Katerina replied 1 year ago

This is lovely, Joy! The jeans are super on you.
What a great bracelet - fantastic find.

  • Firecracker replied 1 year ago

Well done, Joy! I think it looks great. What a cool new bracelet.

  • Joy replied 1 year ago

I keep losing my replies but want to thank you all for the lovely comments. I am glad the bracelet is getting approval. Kellygirl, you are most certainly a Master Fashionista.

  • Joy replied 1 year ago

Kkards, sunnies are an important part of my outfits. I even wear them inside quite often when lights are bright as they are sensitive.
Cardiff girl, I like wearing the larger bum bags that I favor like in the first outfit. I was lucky enough to score the last tiger bag at Target and can’t wait to wear it more as a cross bod. It looks great with the ochres and mustards of autumn.

  • Joy replied 1 year ago

SarahD8, these are favorite sneakers for summer but this is their first wear this season. It is a shame but they are not easy to slip on and off.
LisaP and suntiger, these are very comfortable jogger jeans. They have an elastic waist plus a drawstring and elastic at the bottoms of the legs.
I am glad you do not think the outfit looks too young. The low scoop neck shows some cleavage so the outfit looked ok for a dinner with my husband.

  • Joy replied 1 year ago

Suz, I love the weekly styling ideas but do not always get photos or the weather does not cooperate. Thank you.
Katerina and Firecracker, I am thrilled that you like the bracelet. It reminded me of the ashes left from a campfire, so Colorado and camping appropriate. Of course, it adds great texture to an outfit.
Sorry to split up replies so much. So many got lost.

  • rachylou replied 1 year ago

Wow! Those are FABULOUS on you!

  • Jenni NZ replied 1 year ago

Joy I don’t know why you need to ask us if you need to change the outfits! They’re always amazing. I very very seldom see anything I would like to change.
I like your T-shirt and I actually don’t mind wearing polyester. I am a bit worried about the tiny threads of plastic that they say can go down the drains into the ocean though. Over time I am trying to buy less of it but my new puffer is all polyester :(

  • Jessikams replied 1 year ago

I love this outfit. The cool bracelet makes the waist bag seem very intentional.

  • Joy replied 1 year ago

Thank you Rachylou, Jenni and Jessikams. Jenni, I felt rather sexy in that tee. Jessikams, I hope that I can find or make some earrings to sort of evoke the feel of the bracelet. Maybe black lava rock?

  • catherine replied 1 year ago

Joy, I always love your outfits. This one, however, is especially beautiful.

  • Bijou replied 1 year ago

I read your write up first, so was not really expecting such a great outfit. I love this, the joggers fit perfectly. Definitely not too young. You have a great figure and should show it off, age is irrelevant. There is nothing revealing or inappropriate about anything I have ever seen you wear. Joy style is not about age at all. To me you are one of the YLF style icons and one of the reasons I love to pop in on a daily basis.

  • shevia replied 1 year ago

Love! The first picture with the bag high around you and the long duster is perfect! I love the color of the "cheapie" tee on you too. Inspirational!

  • Joy replied 1 year ago

Catherine, Bijou, and Shevia, thank you so much for the confidence boost, especially from such stylish ladies.
