Denim jacket, casual pants and bling

Inspired by Angie's ensemble blog post and her lovely client Nancy, here is a version I wore recently. It was a chilly day so the denim jacket stayed on inside. The jeans are a dark olive. Bling is a silver toned chain with dog whistle pendent and a silver cuff. The sneakers are also metallic silver. I'm wearing an old white Gap tee, well loved, under the jacket and a plain white belt needed to hold up these jeans.
Suggestions for improvement or styling are welcome.

That is a great interpretation of Angie's and Nancy's ensemble, Joy. YLF!

Oh Joy -- I love this outfit… everything about it! The light wash denim jacket is stunning on you. I love the contrast it creates with the dark olive jeans. All your unique silver accents you have added (in footwear and jewelry) make this outfit even more spectacular.

    Really good Joy!

FABULOUS. You nailed it. LOVE the dog whistle.

  • Brooklyn replied 1 year ago

You look super cool. Love the whistle too.

Definitely love those sneakers! I would match those with the colored skinny jeans especially for something like running errands.

A big Thank you to all who looked and commented. It means a lot. El Cee, this oversized denim jacket is so much more comfortable than my more fitted and cropped one. I also have a medium wash oversized but seem to reach most for this light one.
Ms Maven and Caisee, I'm glad to get approval for the olive jeans and the sneakers. I sometimes wonder if I look like mutton dressed as lamb in them.
Angie and Brooklyn, Thank you. The whistle is a working dog whistle and is handy when dog walking to warn off stray dogs and to call Mags if she is in the yard barking.

No suggestions for improvement - it looks perfect. How do you like the Ecco Bluma sneakers?

nice casual outfit but also very polished.  I love the sneakers.  I need some like that to wear for days when I walk but want to look pulled together.

I love your version, Joy! Super cool look, and I absolutely adore the dog whistle necklace. Super fab cuff, too. Those touches and the silver shoes really give the outfit a chic finish.

Great rendition of the ensemble, Joy.  Fun accessorizing too with the dog whidtle.

Thank you, Bonnie and Sally, I absolutely love the ECCO sneakers. They are so light weight, so will be good for travel too. They are shoes that I want to keep on.
Sharan and Tanya, all that dog whistle necklace is is a whistle put on a chain. Super easy to do but a conversation piece.

Fantastic, Joy. The sneakers are great, definitely no mutton dressed as lamb!

You look absolutely fabulous.  I have never tried to "mia" cut of those pants.  Do you have any issues bending your knees for long period of time.

  • Jjsloane replied 1 year ago

I wouldn't change a thing especially the cute sneaks. Now I must look for a dog whistle - great accessory!

  • kerry replied 1 year ago

Perfect! I love the pale blue of your denim jacket - looks so fresh. Is it soft?

  • kkards replied 1 year ago

echoing Kerry, the pale blue denim jacket looks so fresh…..well done!

  • Joy replied 1 year ago

Thank you for the encouraging comments. Sterling, no problems bending the knees. Kerry, this denim jacket is soft, not at all stiff. I am hoping that Target will come out with a white version.

  • Jenn replied 1 year ago

Well done, Joy! The shiny sneakers are a cool touch.

Joy, you look sensational! And waving to my sneaker twin!! :)

  • Staysfit replied 1 year ago

Joy, this looks terrific! How long is your jean jacket? High hip? Mid hip? I have the hardest time figuring out the proportions for mine and which type of jeans to pair it with!
