You look magnificent in that shade of blue! Wow!! I can't get past that! What a nice inspiration pic of Ornella. Great outfit! I like the shoes bc I love me a versatile nude shoe - but all depends on the comfort factor. Let's see what the others think....

I can't get past the shirt - what a glorious colour on you. And aren't white jeans the best?
I love the sandals, nice heel, delicate straps.
Finally - thank you, I am flattered and overjoyed to have inspired this beautiful outfit :-D

Yay for the blue and white formula! It looks great on you too. I think these nude sandals totally work. If they fit and feel good, I'd wear test them on the carpet for a few hours just to make sure. They look like a stylish, versatile shoe.

I adore the shoes, Joy. Colour and style. Elegant and fun. And your outfit is fantastic too: I love the contrast of that beautiful intense blue with the crisp white and your gorgeous hair. You've done it again!

You and Ornella both looks utterly gorgeous in your white and blue combinations. And those shoes are fab Joy - don't you dare think of returning them! :)

Yes to the shoes! These will work so nicely with the colors in your wardrobe, and, in KC, they can be worn in Spring and early Autumn, too.

I'm glad the shoes are keepers. Beth Ann you are right. The shoes work with my wardrobe and we have a long season to wear this style. They are comfortable for regular walking, not so much on flights of stairs where a strap puts on pressure, but not painful. For the most part I won't be wearing them on stairs and loosening the strap may help. I'm leaning toward keeping and even have a belt for jeans, also patent, that is a near match.
Ornella, thank you for "inventing" this outfit. The blue shirt is 100% linen, soft yet substantial.
I am embarrassed seeing my feet in the shoe photos. They are low volume with no padding to cover bones and veins and the polish needs to be redone.

The blue shirt is gorgeous with your skin color and hair, Joy! You have very pretty feet, and those shoes set them off so well. I bet you will get lots of wear from the shoes.

Love the shoes. The whole outfit is stunning. I am going to have to copy you and Ornella.

You look gorgeous Joy! Love your interpretation and yes that blue is beautiful on you!
When I saw the wedge heel, I only thought of one thing 'But Joy doesn't wear heels'. If it's comfy and practical its a huge yes from me!
-
Joy replied 9 years ago
Neel, these wedges look higher than they are (2.25"), although that is still higher than most of my shoes. I think these will go out to dinner, to church, shorter shopping trips, things like that. I wore them most of the day around the house and they were fine. A little Body Glide and they will be even better. I am not used to having my toes so exposed though :)
Debbie, Ornella has come up with a winner. I felt good in this today. I can't wait to see your version.
Windchime, thank you for the kind words, especially about my feet.

Joy, no reason for embarrassment at all -- you look sensational!! The shoes look made for your feet, and so does that blue look made for your complexion.

Great copycat look, I like the contrast of the darker shirt with your hair here. And I also like the new shoes, if they are comfy, then I vote keep. I find light shoes very helpful for summer looks.
