A column of coral for summer

Thinking of color vs neutrals, I like wearing both but recently have made a small summer capsule or coral via consignment.  I have on coral .  pants, a coral Madewell tee and a coral, pink and brown poncho type topper.  My accessories are white ( loafers and bag and hair scrunching and mostly gold meal accents including tropical leaf dangly earrings, for a summery touch.  What do you think?  Too much color, to much volume?  Are the earrings too big for me?  Yes, I am wearing a med alert bracelet on my ankle.  It is huge on me and I need a couple of inches of chain removed to wear it on my wrist.  Does anyone have a source of attractive medical alert jewelry?  I would like to find something that uses gold tone metal.

Ooh, so pretty, Joy! I think if I saw you walking down the street, I would smile at that happy outfit! I love coral and coral loves you. Super summery and fresh!

Thank you , Kellygirl.  Wearing it makes me happy. I don’t know if I would feel the same way in winter but would like to find a few winter coral pieces to try.  I have enjoyed a tomato red sweater dress.

Definitely not too much volume, nor too much color!  Very vibrant!

My medical bracelet is from Medic-Alert.  Not very fashionable but they've been around a long time and are well known.

I found this - but don't have personal experience with them.  Designs look fun.

No need to change a thing.  The outfit is lovely and the coral color is an excellent choice!  This is my new favorite outfit for you!

I think this looks very 60s glamourous.

Very pretty coral outfit, Joy! Adore the earrings. Perfect touch :)

Beautiful color on you.  I especially love the earrings!

I adore this breezy looking outfit on you, Joy. The floaty topper is gorgeous, and I love how you matched the motif with the earrings. Nothing is too much. I was admiring the ankle bracelet in the photo, thinking it looked so cool with your rolled pants and loafers--made me laugh to read it was your medical bracelet. Maybe just remove the necessary number of links from it and let it be your everyday cool-girl accessory.

Really pretty Joy. It’s more volume than I’m used to seeing on you but I think it works just fine.

  • Runcarla replied 2 years ago

Too fab!  Wearing your med alert bracelet as an anklet is brilliant.  Cool girl indeed! :-D

  • Joy replied 2 years ago

Thank you, Sloper, for the link to the medical bracelets.

Thank you all for the encouragement.  I’m glad you like the color and that the volume and big earrings are ok.  It sounds like these pieces will see another summer.

Very pretty and summer festive - love your earrings!

Beautiful outfit on you, Joy. Nothing is too much. Coral suits you beautifully and this outfit is stylish, interesting and fresh.

Gorgeous! If you wouldn't have said that that it was a medical bracelet, I would have thought that it was a style choice!

  • Jaime replied 2 years ago

Joy you have been hitting it out of the park lately. Love this bold look!

  • Synne replied 2 years ago

Love!! This is quite different from your usual style, right? You usually dress very stylish and elegant, but I also love this more flamboyant look on you!

  • Aquamarine replied 2 years ago

Fun and cheerful! If ever there is a time to wear coral, it’s during summer weather.

  • Preppy Pear replied 2 years ago

I love coral and I love it on you. Tres chic.

  • Joy replied 2 years ago

Thank you all for your comments.  Retail has been devoid of warm colors for quite awhile, except for fall (rust, warm olive, mustard, some orange).  My solution is to go second hand for variety and unique pieces and colors I want.
Thank you for the earring comments.  They are so open that they are very light weight.

  • Star replied 2 years ago

This is a lovely color, and it is also lovely on you.  Earrings are gorgeous.  Nothing 'too much' going on here.  I wear an ankle bracelet sometimes (non-medical), so that on you looks kind of funky to me.

  • Joy replied 2 years ago

Thank you, Preppy Pear and Star. I am so happy that I can wear coral and those earrings, even the med bracelet as an ankle bracelet without looking ridiculous.

  • rachylou replied 2 years ago

This is FABULOUS! I feel it’s super new and different. Quite elegant and rather daring. Daring isn’t the right word really; it’s that you look comfortable in your own skin so to speak.

Also: an ankle medical bracelet is brilliant. I stopped wearing one when I went to work in manufacturing environments because machines and jewellery don’t mix… but I think I could get away with that. That’s sooo smart!

  • Joy replied 2 years ago

Thank you, Rachylou.  I put off wearing one because I couldn’t find one I liked.  This one was sent by our insurance company snd is pretty basic.  I did feel comfortable in the coral.  This next week I plan to do more coral

  • Angie replied 2 years ago

KILLER, and so very you! I love how the pattern picks up the white in your hair :)

I think you can have medical alert bracelets custom-made if you do a search. Friend of mine did and it looks fab.

  • Joy replied 2 years ago

Wow, a Killer!  Thank you , Angie, for the medical alert bracelet information.

  • Mainelady replied 2 years ago

Oooh! Your coral column looks gorgeous! I love the floaty top and do not think you have too much volume. You have put together a chic and fun summer outfit!

  • kkards replied 2 years ago

Oh, so great! Beautiful color and fabulous airy summer look

  • replied 2 years ago

Great color and love the earrings! If you have chain nose pliers you could easily take it apart and shorten the chain- unless it's welded together.

  • UmmLila (Lisa) replied 2 years ago

Oh, this is so glamorous, Joy. I love it.

  • Kate replied 2 years ago

    Just lovely, Joy!

  • CocoLion replied 2 years ago

I love coral!  Coral to the power of coral.  YLF.

  • Joy replied 2 years ago

Thank you UmmLila. Kate and CocoLion.  I’m happy that you like the coral.

  • Bijou replied 2 years ago
