Being a devil with the Pattern-Mixing

For an example of pattern mixing from my closet, I found I could put together something from my blush/navy capsule and had to include underwear :)
Please overlook the wrinkles and bed-head. I will wear my blush wool
coat if needed. Is this too crazy (without the bra on the outside) to really wear in public? Would my blush or navy kitten heels be better? I could also use a navy bag instead of this blush one. This feels like fun to wear but I'd appreciate your thoughts before I go public. I could add the top half to a navy skirt with cream polka-dots for even more maximal fun.

Can a faux fur vest work with a puffer?

I tried my faux fur vest over my puffer coat for extra warmth. Does this work? The last photo is the puffer without the vest. Actually the last photo is a longer puffer coat over a puffer jacket, so I am looking pretty puffy here. Too much? I'm trying to find new ways to keep warm. Comments and suggestions welcomed.

Need an opinion: which topper?

My challenge on ElCee's thread is to wear toppers this week that don't play well under coats. My difficult topper today for teaching and dinner out....long jacket ( often too long under other coats) or poncho? Either would work for the occasion.
Photos1/2 are a long jacket.
Photo 3: poncho
Photo 4: outfit without a topper
Which should I wear? Would black booties be a better choice of footwear?

The Red Kimono: ok or too much? ETA: Long jeans & column of black

Angie's blog post reminded me of a kimono that I use as a robe. Does it work with jeans on me? I would love your thoughts.
Bonus of what I wore to meet a group of new neighbors...black and bone.

Capsule for my citron ankle pants

Angie's post inspired me to do a small capsule for my own citron or light yellow gold ankle pants. I wish that I could like directly to my capsule but will try to put it in Finds on this post. Theses are the items that seemed to work when trying things on. I stuck to white as the neutral. I am posting this in hopes to inspire others to make capsules. Would you make any eliminations? Do you see holes?

Chopped jeans

Inspired by Angie, I took a scissors and chopped. Did I chop off enough?
These are shown with 1.5 inch heeled pumps. I have ankle strap flats too to try.
The jeans have not been washed yet since the chop. Is the flare at the bottom too large? I can always cut them shorter for summer clam diggers.
What do you think so far?

K/R: Unstructured Shirt Dress Photos now added

I found this shirt dress at Target. It is s little big but 100% cotton. So will probably shrink a little in the wash. Is it good enough to keep? It even has side seam pockets! Shown here with black leggings.

My Dove Grey capsule

Angie's blog post about grey prompted me to post this: My dove grey capsule, mostly for transitional weather or basics any time. Some of these pieces are getting old and will need to be evaluated. I did not include bone white except the pencil skirt. I also did not include dark grays and some silver metallics. I appreciate all comments and suggestions. I want to add a pair of low heeled silver metallic pumps, although I have not found any that work for over a year.

Jacket Lab: Help me sort these out

Keep, donate, toss, restyle differently?
Here are some jackets that I am unsure about. A few I love but can't figure out how to wear, some I wonder if they just are not right. I would love your thoughts.
1-3: a jacket that was a generous gift but I have trouble styling.
4-5: white denim Jean jacket. Too cropped for pants? Do I need a bigger one?
6: new still with tags. Is it too oversized? To young looking for me to wear casually?
7-9: another jacket I love but do not wear much. Ideas?
10-11: I like the color but should I donate it?
I would appreciate knowing any impressions that you have.
