Chocolate Capri Pant Styling: Take 2

Today I played in the closet and tried on mostly sleeveless tops with the new brown capri pants, trying to use suggestions from the first post.
1-3: citron or gold
4-6: bright pink or orange. 6. is an old VC cold shoulder top that has some brown stripes.
7 is white
8-9: black EF tops in linen and silk
10-12: blue. 10 is EF linen. 11 is Martin+Osa linen. 12 was plucked from the ironing pile. It is my chambray shirt (BR) that now seems too fitted.
I'm sorry that I've yet to make custom finds for most of these.
I would love to know what you like and what you don't.

Chocolate Capri pants: how to wear?

I've been looking for dark brown summer bottoms for a couple of years and found these at a new store opening ( Scheels). They are from Lee and come in several colors, but I can't find them online to collect. Photo 1 shows them rolled the way I wore them. 2 is the way they look naturally, sort of cargo pants without the leg pockets. 3 shows the way they might look if shortened a bit. Which looks best? Other ideas?
Top was thrifted a few years ago and my all time favorite summer knit. I usually don't go for this kind of embellishment but for summer it works well. I think I like it because it is beads rather than bling. Too frumpy? Bag was also thrifted. Is this casual outfit worth repeating?

WIW: knotted top trick

Just a daily outfit for hot weather, meeting friends for coffee and quiche.
Pants are EF deep navy from eBay. Tee is Equipment woven silk with tiny dots. Ankle strap flats are DV. I'm not thinking that this was a success. How can I improve this outfit?

July 4 SYC outfit possibilities

Inspired by Angie's ensemble ideas for the 4th:
1/2: what I wore today and could wear tomorrow. Graphic flag tee tank overred tank, white Kut Catherine boyfriend jeans, white Fossil belt.
3/4: same jeans and red tank with EF dark blue linen open cardigan.
5/6: directly inspired by Angie. Faded blue denim rolled jeans, ivory Ella Moss sheer tee ( recently from consignment) worn over old ivory silk Classiques Entiere tank, red flats.
What looks best to you? What changes would you suggest? I could take a tomato red or a white bag.

SYC July: Citron and black

Continuing my June challenge of finding new outfits in my summer closet, I needed to dress for an appointment on an hot humid day. The Capri pants are silk pull on from last year. I usually wear them rolled but show them two lengths here. The top has a bit of diagonal drape. It is also silk, Classiques Entiere from about two summers ago. The silk jacket is from my funeral capsule and is a textured silk. It turned out to be too hot to wear every indoors.
What do you think? Is this too much contrast? What is the best length of the pants? How can I improve or vary this outfit?

June Challenge: Recap and Musings

Sterling, thank you for suggesting a personal June challenge. I challenged myself to SYC and post outfits for suggestions. I hoped to up my style, look for ways to evolve my style and to decide what needs editing out. I was also looking for new ways to wear the oldies.
My inspiration came mostly from Angie's blog posts...ensembles for her mother, her77 year old client, color combinations and ROG.
I have come away feeling that my summer closet is too large but otherwise pretty happy with the variety in color, fabrics, and silouettes that it offers. In the last couple of years I have worked on summer footwear that is non-sandal and flat, and on finding things that are cool and somewhat covered. Laundering is more frequent and summers are long, justifying more items in circulation. I did not find much so far to edit out.
Our summer heat started late, so I will continue to evaluate my wardrobe into July. I failed at completely SYC in June and bought a few items on eBay, mostly ankle pants that can be rolled. I had added some weight over the winter and some pants I had. are a little too tight.
Other thoughts are that I still don't seem to have a direction for evolving my style, but am not concerned. I do want to try a higher rise with cropped top but that means probably buying multiple pieces. I had thought I'd want to add more color but, after spring, I'm losing interest with the hot weather...Browns and navy maybe, and more EF "stone" while it is available.
Where do you see me going with my style?
